Angela was born with racing in here genes, she is the third generation of racers in her family.
Angela became passionate about driving at the age of nine when her parents gave her a go-kart for Christmas. In her professional career, Angela made four appearances in the Nationwide Series in 2012, making it her most active NASCAR season. During her time as a race car driver Angela did multiple modeling jobs and corporate sponsor campaigns.
After leaving NASCAR in 2012, Angela has been successfully running her own business, The Vanilla Salon. She also got married to her husband Michael Ruch and has been enjoying the role of a stepmother to his three kids Conner, Isabel and Sabrina. The family lives together in Charlotte, NC.
Inspired by her nephew Eric Erdman, In 2017 Angela announced that she is joining forces with the foundation Eric started, T.E.K foundation CC, Inc., dba, Give a Child a Voice. Eric created his foundation to help children transform their lives when faced unfortunate circumstances such as life-threatening illnesses, abuse, abduction, and bullying, all through community involvement and support. She was so moved by the story of her nephew, Eric Erdman, who is battling brain cancer, to contribute, Angela will be returning to the racing tracks to support Eric’s successful efforts in helping children find the courage to share their story and find their voice.
